Jim & Vivian Bolick
Titusville, FL.
1973 Painted Desert
This is Jim and Vivians 1973 GMC Motorhome. They have owned it since 1989 and it has taken themfrom Fl. to Alaska, Nova Scotia to Calif. and across the U.S. and Canada several times. They have customized it to our taste. It is set up to sleep two, feed two and host all of their friends.

Headlights are from a 1995 Chevy Suburban, hand made grill, fiberglass bumpers.
Jim wanted something different, and he got his wish!
The coach is equipped nicely on the exterior with such features as Alcoa wheels, bumper covers, Ramco mirrors, roof visor, awning, and a sporty paint scheme

New style tail lights, tire cover, and bumper cover highlight the rear...

Fiberglass exhaust covers, the dual exhausts exit on the drivers side and forward of the rear wheels.

Hand cut aluminum dash insert, guages are under the dash, right side of steering column.

There's a full bed in rear, air mattress from Wal-Mart with a egg carton foam cover.

This coach is laid out for 2 people, and the center of the coach attests to that fact.

Cream colored J-couch "borrowed" from a Monaco diesel pusher.

Oak T.V. cabinet with drawer and cup holders. Aluminum foil backed bubble wrap keeps the sun/heat out of the coach.

Decorative cover over the two furnace ducts, 3" screws through two chair legs secure the office chair to the floor.

Vinyl peel and stick imitation wood flooring, And Jim added two drawers under the refrigerator for additional storage.

Hotwheels GMC's on dash, GMC emblem in glove box indent is a lower exterior door emblem from a GMC pickup truck, Yukon, or Suburban. They usually say GMC1500, just cut off the numbers.

Door pull handle made out of oak, and a oak door latch handle makes it easy to open the door when both hands are full, just push on the wooden handle. This is a superb idea!

Vivian worked very hard to etch the outline of a GMC in the mirror, while the other cabinet mirrors have decorative etchings. These mirrors on each overhead cabinet give one a feeling of openess.

A macerator resides under the coach.

High back leather office chair, folding dining table and half bench, both made out of 1" oak

Microwave on shelf Jim built suspended from overhead cabinet, toaster oven and a two burner electrical cooktop. Glasses also hang from above!

12 volt T.V. in sleeping area. Jim mounted a cigarette plug in the overhead cabinet at the foot of the bed then wired it in to the 12 volt light wiring in the cabinet.

In order to get 100% recir air into the cabin, Jim created this air re-circulation system for dash A/C and Heat.

Just be sure the coach dosen't drag out anywhere, Jim installed these skid rails.
