My Day at the Co-op
Since the coach was down for the count when I went to get it, I decided to spend the day bumming around the Co-op. Jim and Janie Bounds have a great business, and they are both great people. I learned a lot the day I spent there.
Oh, and I got a lot done too. I actually broke a sweat!
Here are some pictures of that day.
This shot is of my GMC waiting to have the steering shaft re-tightened to the steering box. Jim noticed some slack in it, and wanted it tightened. Check out the mirrors, the roof rack, and the visor...Gotta lose the cheesy AM/FM antenna mounted to the fender. It will be replaced with a "stinger".
This was just too cool not to show. It looks like its just coming right up out of the ground...Almost thought Superman found a new changing booth!
While I normally don't assume anything (we all know about the word assume, don't we) but my guess is that the front end above belongs to the rear end and sides shown here.
For those who don't follow the "Daily Pose" on the Co-op website, this is a bare Duramax chassis. They are fitting one like this to a 26' coach for Raymond Cruz, star of the TV show "The Closer".
This is the exact chassis that is being used. As you can see, the chassis has already been fitted with the GMC's unique air suspension. This will be one sweet coach when it's done. A LOT of man hours are going into this, and it will be special.
Please, dont ask...I have no idea...None at all. I'm sure that I will be enlightened, and when I do, I will let you know. One thing is for sure...It's different!
This coach was sitting in the body shop with a lot of body work being done in preperation for a new paint job. Someones gonna be proud!
Before I forget, I want to give you a little closer shot of the Duramax. I would love for Jim to install one in my coach, but I have yet to hit the lottery!
While I was there, I saw a lot of nice GMCs sitting around the lot. They are pictured below, and I dont know anything about them. They just looked real nice...

I found this dash in a coach that was parked. I love the white face gauges!

The last picture I am showing is the frame coming off the body thats going to be used on the "Duramax coach"

For now, thats all the pictures. I promise I will take a few more when I go back down to get my coach when she's all done... I can't wait!
