1977 Eleganza II (was Palm Beach)

Before we begin, please allow me to mention that Dave is the keeper of the GMC Registry. He keeps track of all the GMC's that are still out there, and to do so, he needs your help. He would appreciate it very much if you would let him know the pertinent information on your coach and you. He has been doing this for a LONG time. All your information is in good hands with him. It has become his passion, as mine is with this site, to see this list to its completion, and again, he needs your help if you are not already in the registry. You may reach Dave at this Registry Link.
Now, On to Daves Coach...
Dave's coach is a 1977 Eleganza II which started its life as a Palm Beach. This coach has been everywhere, and it has over 640,000 miles on it! The '77 has been almost totally rebuilt over the years, including 6 transmissions rebuilds and 2 engine rebuilds! Here is a shot of the Eleganza in Montana. This is before the coach got its new look.

And with the new paint!

The front of the coach sports such items as headlight covers, bumper step, GMC grille lettering, keyed hatch locks, and bumper covers made of diamond plate.

Another shot of the nose...

There are a lot of modifications done to the coach, such as a redone propane tank...

As well as a massive water filter...Nothing bad in Dave's water, thats for sure!!!

Also on the outside of the coach are the T-skirts and Flares. I am not sure who makes those, but they are really nice. I would not mind getting a set for my coach! The Alcoa LTS wheels really set it off...

While we are on the subject of the back end, Dave installed a Air-Lift compressor to replace the factory unit. Looks like it would fill those bags in short order!

Lets move on inside, shall we?

Nice leather seating and the center console with TV. And the micro blinds are a finishing touch.

Halogen overhead lighting in the hallway.

2 burner propane stove and Sunshine Statesmen glasses complete the counter, as does the sink...

With a cover no less...

The dash area is well equipped with gauges, as you can see.

There is a unique gauge pod under the steering wheel, aftermarket radio, and other comforts...
