GMC Ideas for the Future
This page will be set aside for ideas of things that I want to do to my coach. You may like my ideas, you may not. I present them here anyhow. There will also be links to step by step tutorials with pictures as to how I (and other owners) tackled these projects. The links will be provided as the projects are completed. I must bear in mind that this is a 23' coach...
GMC's are too tough to NOT want to modify...It only improves the coach and makes it even more of a joy to own than it already is. Some of my projects in the near future include (but not limited to)...
Fantastic fan installation on rear vent.
Replace the front couch with a more useable dinette or folding table and 2 bucket seats.
Astrovan cruise control install, with VSS system.
Install overhead console complete with TV
Ken Hendersons electric wiper kit.
Square headlight Install on the GMC
Sirius Satellite radio install.
Exhaust fan under fridge vent for better cooling.
Stainless engine vents on coach sides
Outside outlet installation (so kids can watch TV in TENT)
Side Docking Light Installation
Full size bed in the back. (for me)
Install new antifreeze and washer bottles.
Install roof mounted remote controlled spot light.
A lot of owners are trying to install a stepper cruise control. I did a powerpoint for the astro/safari board when I changed my 86 astro van over from cable driven to electronic. While some of the information will not apply, some of it will. I will create a page here for the idea, as I intend to do this to the GMC as well, but for now, fell free to enjoy the old astro powerpoint. Hope it helps!
